I have been practicing law for almost 40 years. My practice is limited to (1) bankruptcy, (2) probate, (3) estate, and (4) personal injury law. My passion for the law developed after I moved to Greenwood, South Carolina from Talhassee, Florida at a young age. Since my move to Greenwood, I have always lived here, other than my time in college and law school. Greenwood is my home. Greenwoodians are my people. However, my practice extends across the state.

I consider myself a family man. I love my five children (some through blood, some through marriage). Any time I can spend with my two young grandchildren brings incredible joy to me. My elderly father lives with me, and I enjoy being able to reconnect with him at this stage in his life. My wife is a loving, caring soul, who is a special education teacher for Greenwood School District 50. Two of my children are attorneys, one of whom practices exclusively in personal injury law throughout the state of South Carolina.
The love I have for my family spills over into my legal practice. My clients become part of my family. Whether I help them through bankruptcy, write a will for them, represent them in a car wreck case, or draft a trust for them, I appreciate them letting me play a small role in their lives, and I continue relationships with them into the future. This is how attorney-client relationships should be. I look forward to meeting and speaking with you as well.
